Description
In the main square in Zaragoza Spain, the sun was shining and it was a lovely, if cool, day. But the low angle of the winter sun was a problem for making photographs when you took the elevator to the top one of the towers of the cathedral for a view of the city. The space at the top was small and made even more crowded by the fact that there was really only one place to stand if you didn’t want the sun shining directly into the camera! So we all waited patiently for our turns at the ‘spot’. Why I didn’t think of going back again later in the day is beyond me. While some sort of place of worship is believed to have existed in this location for nearly two millennia, the current size of the cathedral along with the colorfully tiled mini-domes on the roof seen here date from the 18th century.
