Description
It seems like everyone with a camera gathers on the MIrador del Valle at night for photos of the city of Toledo. The mirador sits atop the steep river valley with the city on the opposite bank, making for spectacular vistas. It was very cold the night I was there and we were all shivering and counting the minutes until sunset! In this view, the Alacazar is seen on the top right, sitting at the high point of the hill. The cathedra's spire rises to its left. Toledo is the capital of the province of Toledo and the autonomous community of Castile-La Mancha. It was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1986 for its extensive cultural and monumental heritage and historical co-existence of Christian, Muslim and Jewish cultures.
